62 Restaurant & Wine Bar chef and co-owner Tony Bettencourt has announced that he and his wife will close 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar in Salem on October 3, as Boston Restaurant Talk reported. The pair first opened the restaurant in February 2008, and Bettencourt said in a Facebook post, "62 was and still is a dream come true."

Bettencourt, who trained at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, promised his path would not end with 62's closure, but that fans should "stay tuned for a new chapter."

62 boasts a 4.5-star rating on Yelp and will continue offering its handmade pastas, small plates, and an extensive wine list until it shutters on October 3.
