The cheerfully named Magic Bites Bakery has opened in Arlington, according to a Facebook post from earlier today. As previously reported, the bakery features quiches, muffins, eclairs, and other baked goods, including "a sampling of Turkish desserts." There's also simit — circular Turkish bread that resembles a skinny bagel with a large hole — from Simit & Smith in New York. Here's a look at the current menu.
More seating will be added later, along with ice cream, and eventually there could be additional locations. This debut location is at 916 Massachusetts Ave., previously the home of Za'atar. Magic Bites is open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
