PAUL Bakery has opened a new location, this one at the 3rd Ave development in Burlington, Boston Restaurant Talk reports. Yelp reviews, which are currently averaging three stars out of five, indicate that its debut came at the end of July. The French bakery chain, which has been around for over a century, now numbers over 500 international locations, including a few others around Massachusetts: Boston's Downtown Crossing, Somerville's Assembly Row, and Natick. The company considers the giant Downtown Crossing location, which opened in May, to be the flagship for the area. By next year, PAUL is hoping to have around 13 locations in and around Boston.
The bakery and restaurant serves sandwiches (on baguettes, of course), salads, soups, pastries, crepes, quiches, and more. The Burlington location is open from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except on Saturdays, when it stays open until 8 p.m.
3rd Ave is also home to a Wegmans, Osteria Nino (which opened in May), The Bancroft, and a few other food options.
UPDATE: A press release indicates that beer and wine are coming to PAUL Burlington "soon." It'll be the first location in the Boston area to serve alcohol.
