Attention, would-be Eater writers: effective this very second, we're looking to hire a Boston-area reporter who's mainlined into the soul of the region’s dining scene to take on the job of Eater Boston associate editor. This is a freelance gig with commensurate pay.
The associate editor position primarily involves turning around news stories quickly, although there will be some opportunities to write longer features as well. A journalism background is desired, and additional online media skills are a plus: photography, knowledge of how to use a content management system, an active social media presence, etc. You will not be writing restaurant reviews or shooting food porn.
You'll be able to work from anywhere you want so long as it keeps your ear close to the ground for good restaurant intel, and you're available to write for us on a daily basis. Note that daytime availability Monday through Friday is a must.
