Amsterdam Falafelshop is actively seeking a location for its third shop in the Boston area, a company representative said today, adding, "Boston will see its third Amsterdam Falafelshop location in the months to come."
Since launching in Davis Square in 2012, the Washington, D.C.-based company has made it clear it plans to increase its presence around Boston. A Kenmore Square shop opened in March despite the snowiest winter on record, and now, owners Matt D’Alessio and Laurence Wintersteen are considering where to put down roots next.
The right neighborhood would have "a strong mix of attractive residential and business communities" and a need for lunch, dinner, and late-night options.
Boston Restaurant Talk noted the company is also developing locations around Buffalo, N.Y.; Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, and elsewhere in the D.C.-area. Amsterdam Falafelshop is eyeing North Carolina, too. In addition to the two in the Boston area, it has four shops around D.C. so far.
