Daddy Jones Opens Its Patio Tomorrow With Boozy Greek Frappes

Celebrate late summer on a hidden Somerville patio.

With August nearing its halfway point, one more brand new patio jumps into the summer mix: a 50-seater at Daddy Jones in Somerville's Magoun Square. It officially opens tomorrow, August 13, at 5 p.m., nestled behind the restaurant on the Broadway side. (The entrance is through the regular Medford Street door, although strollers and wheelchairs can enter the patio via Broadway.)

Expect Richie's Slush and Greek frappes, the restaurant tells Eater. The frappes are made with Greek instant coffee, evaporated milk, and boozy components, like ouzo or Baileys. Friday and Saturday brunch/lunch will be added soon.

Daddy Jones is nearing its third birthday, but it loves to look back to the 1980s, which comes through in the restaurant's music and television choices. The cozy space features a Greek-leaning menu with must-try burgers, a variety of meats on sticks, and lots more.
