Uphams Corner in Dorchester now has a new pizzeria, Boston Pizza & Grill, and it features a sizable patio that will open soon. (Dining inside is almost like dining outside, anyway, as there are giant windows that open wide.) As previously reported, it's a sibling to South End Pizza & Grill, which has been serving up pizzas and such for more than 15 years on Tremont Street.
Boston Pizza & Grill serves what you'd expect from a "pizza & grill" type of place: pizza, burgers, subs, wings, pasta, frozen yogurt, and more, with breakfast possibly being added in the future. Aside from one detractor, the first batch of Yelp reviews is very positive, with users praising the "friendly" staff, "beautiful and clean, cheery and bright" space, and "tasty" pizzas. "A great addition to Uphams Corner and hopefully the beginning of a real resurgence to the neighborhood," notes one five-star review.
It's located at 535 Columbia Rd., right next to the Strand Theatre.
