Woburn is getting an independent, fact-casual burger place this summer. WuBurger will open in August, Boston Restaurant Talk reported, via a tip from The Passionate Foodie.
Located at 880 Main St., the family-friendly restaurant will offer double and single burgers, made from hormone-free beef; Nathan's Famous all-beef hot dogs; French fries; onion rings; and sandwiches, including the Tanner Pride, with rare roast beef, cheddar, crispy fried onions, and homemade Thousand Island dressing; and the Veggie Delight, with fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, and homemade marinara sauce.
WuBurger will also serve ice cream, and BRT says the shop is taking over the former Mr. Charlie's, a 1950s-themed ice cream parlor and diner. The blog say WuBurger will offer the same ice cream; Mr. Charlie's served Richardson's.
WuBurger has a Facebook page and an Instagram account, where so far, the team has been sharing images of the towering double burgers the shop will unleash on North Woburn later this summer.
UPDATE: WuBurger is aiming for a September 1 opening.
