Cinderella's, a casual Italian restaurant that has been open in Cambridge's Central Square for more than two decades, has been closed to dine-in customers for the past several months in order to get a makeover, presumably courtesy of its fairy godmother. (Delivery orders are still available throughout the renovations.) It's set to reopen later this summer with a fancier, cursive logo, down one apostrophe and plus "Bar & Restaurant."
Yes, bar: The new Cinderellas will have a full liquor license. "Cinderella's turned 21 last September," notes a sign that has been plastered on the outside of the space all summer. "She's a big girl now, and needs a makeover. Now that she is of age — she can have hard liquors — though she stays true to her pizza, pasta and protein. We will be back soon with a full bar, and our classic menu chock-full of garlic and carbs!"
The full renovation includes glass garage doors looking out into the Square and a long bar. Stay tuned for an opening date, and keep an eye on the renovations on Instagram and Facebook.
