An Indiana-based chain of pizza and sub shops, Noble Roman's Pizza & Tuscano's Subs, is looking to open at the Ruggles MBTA station. There's a common victualler's license hearing next Wednesday, July 8.

Noble Roman's began on the University of Indiana campus in 1979, and since then, the company has adapted to operate in "non-traditional venues," like inside convenience stores, entertainment centers, and bowling alleys. And soon, maybe the transit hub at 249 Ruggles St.

The pizza side of business offers pies in sizes varying from a 7-inch personal to a party-sized, Sicilian deep dish, all apparently baked by a pizza monster. Tuscano's has an "Italian-themed" menu of salads and subs, including the Tuscany, with Genoa salami, ham, provolone, veggies, and a bell pepper sauce.
