In late December, a Craigslist post revealed that Kendall Square would get a "brand new state of the art juice and coffee bar" from a "chef with a popular Cambridge restaurant."
Now, a source tells Eater that the project is just a few weeks from opening, and the location is 5 Cambridge Center. That Cambridge chef? Will Gilson of Puritan & Co., collaborating with his father David Gilson (of the Herb Lyceum in Groton), according to the source.
The new spot will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including cold-brew iced coffee, kombucha, and cold-pressed juices made from Herb Lyceum produce. The juices will be available pre-bottled for customers on the go, as well as made to order.
5 Cambridge Center is also home to one of Clover's brick-and-mortar locations, a Legal Sea Foods, Google, and more.
UPDATE, 7/13/15: The establishment will be called Beatnik Beverage Company, reports The Boston Globe. It will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and closed on weekends, according to its website.
