A former Greek pizzeria could become a Mediterranean sandwich shop soon, as a business called Gyro King seeks a license to serve food at 645 Cambridge St.

The location is on the same block as two new restaurants, Loyal Nine, and the Cambridge outpost of Lone Star Taco Baropening to the public this Sunday.

Gyro King looks to move into a space that was previously delivery-only Cafe Dilara. The new place would have 19 seats inside, as well as a four-seat patio. Gyro King wouldn't serve booze, but it could be open daily 11 a.m. - midnight, extending until 2 a.m. on Thursday - Saturday.

The hearing is on the agenda for this Tuesday, July 9.
