Eat With Jack O'Neill has opened in the West Roxbury Pub space on Centre Street, according to West Roxbury Main Streets, which notes that the new restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner. (The restaurant's website, Facebook page, and Yelp page do not list hours or a phone number; hours cannot be confirmed at this time.)
Squealing Pig owner Diarmuid O'Neill is behind the new place, and according to previous reports, Sunday afternoons will feature traditional Irish music. There will also be a focus on "craft cocktails" and beer, but O'Neill doesn't intend for the place to foster "drunkenness" or "late-night parties."
West Roxbury Main Streets shared a peek at the "small plates" section of the menu, which includes dishes like steak on a stick with sesame noodles; potato cakes with smoked salmon and chive; pickled egg salad crostini with serrano ham; and more.
The first Yelp review to pop up notes that the "delicious" Guinness was "poured correctly" and that the renovated space includes a lot of "nice woodwork" and seems to have the potential to "take on its character over time" even though it's a bit "stark" at the moment.
