BACK BAY / DOWNTOWN BOSTON — Those who work in the downtown area have a few new options for the daily lunch routine. Michael Serpa's SELECT Oyster Bar launched a new, midday Mediterranean menu last week, with items like smoked salmon on a toasted poppy bagel; and a Spanish octopus and cuttlefish salad. Lunch is available at the restaurant daily from 11:30 - 2 p.m. (There's no take-out option at this time, but you should get out of the office anyway.) Other restaurants are offering fine dining to go, Boston Magazine reports. Earlier this week, Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse joined Beacon Hill Bistro in offering a gourmet picnic take-out option, and Stir will offer this concept in pop-up form later this summer. WATERFRONT — Aragosta Bar + Bistro, the restaurant at the Battery Wharf Hotel, has a new chef at the helm. Joseph Adamo signed on as executive chef, after a 20-plus year career in kitchens around the world. Seafood is the cornerstone of Adamo's recently-launched menu, and the New England fare has a Mediterranean twist. New dishes include Maine lobster papardelle with pancetta, asparagus, mushrooms, and creamed leeks; Georges Bank sea scallops with corn puree, chorizo, sweet peas, and swiss chard; and a raw bar. SOUTH END — Cravings for Southern cuisine in the South End will go unsatisfied for one more weekend: Estelle's has been closed since May 25 for renovations. The restaurant plans a fresh debut on Monday, June 8. [FB]
