  • Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro (25 Charles St., Beacon Hill): Serving brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with specials like watermelon salad, grilled chorizo with pepper relish, and crab cakes, as well as dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. with specials like barbecue braised pork shoulder.   • Bistro du Midi (272 Boylston St., Back Bay): Offering a special "714" menu (seven options, one prix fixe, four courses) from July 1 through July 14, including July 4, in honor of both America's and France's Independence Days. (Bastille Day takes place on July 14 in France.) $49/person. Vegetarian options available upon request.

  • Cinquecento (500 Harrison Ave., South End): The new shipping container bar on the patio will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring $1 oysters, cocktails, and more, as well as the full usual dinner menu.   • Clover (By Park Street Station on Boston Common): Open until 8 p.m. (later than usual).

  • Committee (50 Northern Ave., Seaport District): Serving lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner 5 p.m. to midnight.
  • Davio's (75 Arlington St., Back Bay): Offering a clambake special at dinner — 1.25-pound lobster, steamers, corn on the cob, sweet sausage and potatoes, and lemon tarte or strawberry shortcake, $45.

  • Frost Ice Loft (Third floor of Faneuil Hall Marketplace's North Building, Downtown): Boston's only bar made of ice will be open from noon to 10 p.m. on July 3 and 4, as well as noon to 8 p.m. on July 5, featuring new ice sculptures of "classic American heroes" like Captain America and Wonder Woman by sculptor Eric Fontecchio. Plus, there will be Independence Day-inspired cocktails.

  • West End Johnnies (138 Portland St., West End): Kitchen is closed on July 3 and 4, but doors open at 8 p.m. both nights for Showtime Friday on the 3rd and a DJ on the 4th. Closed July 5 through 7.

  • The Abbey (1755 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square): Open regular hours for lunch, dinner, and late-night throughout the weekend.
  • Alden & Harlow (40 Brattle St., Harvard Square): Open for brunch, dinner, and late-night.
  • Ames Street Deli (73 Ames St., Kendall Square): Grilling outside on the patio, from noon until supplies run out — burgers, hot dogs, chicken, ice cream sandwiches, and more. (Items are also available to-go.)
  • Anna's Taqueria (822 Somerville Ave., Porter Square and 84 Massachusetts Ave., MIT): Open regular hours (8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.) in Porter Square, and closing early at MIT (7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.)
  • Area Four (500 Technology Square, Kendall Square)
  • Bagelsaurus (1796 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square): Open regular hours (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

  • Champions (2 Cambridge Center, Kendall Square): All-you-can-eat barbecue on the patio for $18, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • City Girl Cafe (204 Hampshire St., Inman Square): Serving brunch 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed for dinner).
  • Clover (7 Holyoke St., Harvard Square; 1075 Cambridge St., Inman Square; 5 Cambridge Center, Kendall Square; 496 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square): Open until 8 p.m., except for the Central Square location, which is open 24 hours.
  • Craigie on Main (853 Main St., Central Square): Open for dinner as usual from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (bar open until midnight), plus grilling on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant from noon to 6 p.m. The sidewalk offerings, available to go, include bratwurst sandwiches, pork belly sandwiches, cookies, bottled water, and Jarritos soda. Dinner guests can secure a free parking spot (put a note in the OpenTable comments that you want one or call (617) 497-5511 to talk to a host) — and the spot is yours through the fireworks.
  • Dante (40 Edwin H Land Blvd.): Serving a five-course prix fixe menu with Jack's Abby beer pairings, $100/person, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Boston's fireworks are visible from just past the patio. Call (617) 497-4200 for reservations.
  • Flat Top Johnny's (1 Kendall Sq., Kendall Square): "Celebrating 'murica with burgers, wings, beer, and pool all day."
  • Formaggio Kitchen (244 Huron Ave.): Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Saturday sidewalk barbecue will take place as usual. Preorders for groups of fewer than eight people are available until 4 p.m. on Friday, July 3; call (617) 354-4750.

  • Loyal Nine (660 Cambridge St., East Cambridge): Offering a $48 four-course prix fixe menu (optional beverage pairing for $30) that features holiday ingredients popular before the modern days of burgers and hot dogs. Dishes include pease porridge with poached mussels, lobster, and favas; grilled pork shoulder with braised turnip greens and spring onions; and more.
  • McCabe's on Mass (2046 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square): Serving brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closing at 4 p.m.
  • Naco Taco (297 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square): Open normal hours all weekend.
  • Puritan & Co. (1166 Cambridge St., Inman Square)
  • Rialto (1 Bennett St., Harvard Square): Open until 9 p.m. on July 4 (and then closed for July 5 and 6).
  • Tavern in the Square (730 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square and 1815 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square): Open and showing the Copa America final at 4 p.m.
  • Veggie Galaxy (450 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square): Open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday vegan doughnuts will be in full effect.
  • Viale (502 Massachusetts Ave.): Serving the regular menu plus a special lobster-based menu.
  • Wagamama (57 John F. Kennedy St., Harvard Square)
  • Zephyr on the Charles at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge (575 Memorial Dr.): Hosting an outdoor party on the Zephyr lawn from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks, and desserts, as well as lawn games, for $20. To-go options are available if you want to head out to see the fireworks.

OPEN IN SOMERVILLE

  • Anna's Taqueria (236A Elm St., Davis Square): Open regular hours (9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.)
  • La Brasa (124 Broadway, East Somerville): Hosting a pig roast with "festively appropriate sides" for $50/person. The regular menu will be available too, and there will be dollar oysters between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and again between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
  • Bread & Salt Hospitality at Cuisine en Locale (156 Highland Ave., Spring Hill): Bread & Salt's temporary pop-up, Gitana, will be open until 4 p.m. on July 4. A $15 picnic lunch will also be available to go (a sandwich, but not the lobster roll, and two snacks) between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday.   • Heritage of Sherborn (33 N. Main St., Sherborn): Pick up "grab-and-go dinner and libation packages" on July 3; call July 1 through 3 to place your order.
