1) CHARLESTOWN — The historic Boston Navy Yard has a new fast-casual spot: Decca opened last month in Building 10, in the shadow of Old Ironsides. Specializing in burgers and poutine (including a version topped with Maine lobster), the menu also includes nautically-named sandwiches and salads prepared daily. Outdoor seating pretty much guarantees Decca will be a tourist hotspot this summer. The eatery is open 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. every day. Status: Certified open. Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Building 10, Charlestown. (978) 441-1090.

2) BEACON HILL — Peet's Coffee, a California-based artisan coffee chain, has opened its 7th Massachusetts location at the corner of Charles and Mt. Vernon streets. Hand-roasted coffee makes up the shop's menu of brewed and espresso drinks, plus there are specialty beverages, teas, and grab-and-go food items. Peet's is open daily from 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. (6 a.m. on weekends). Status: Certified open. 66 Charles St., Boston. (857) 366-6704.
