The Further Food Stuffs pop-up strikes again, hitting up La Brasa late tonight with a la carte offerings of about seven dishes and cocktails to match. In addition to FFS' Patrick Gaggiano and Dan Amighi (also of Viale and La Brasa, respectively), Eric Frier (Ribelle) and Matt Hummel (West Bridge) will be lending a hand this evening.
On the food side, diners might see items like oyster and rice fritters, fermented carrot crudite, spaghetti with crispy tiny fish, and grilled chicken thighs with hot sauce. The cocktail selection (served in two-ounce portions to maximize how many you can try) will feature a lot of vegetables: think sugar snap pea gin with hemlock tip and citrus; black pepper, raisins, fire-roasted cucumbers, and Pimm's; and burnt orange chervil, bubbles, Aperol, and Serrano.
The fun starts at 10 p.m. and lasts until last call — or until everything runs out, if that happens sooner. No reservations or advanced tickets needed; just show up.
