"Korean Fusion Food Truck — run by an actual Korean dude," reads Gogi on the Block's Facebook page. "It's as simple as that." Hub Food Trucks noted that the new Boston food truck is "coming soon," and indeed, it may be as soon as this very month, according to the truck's Facebook page.
The first version of the menu offers a variety of gogi (meat) or tofu-based dishes in the form of rice bowls, burritos, and salads. You could order, for example, bulgogi (sweet marinated beef) in a kimchi rice bowl with veggies, a gochujang sauce, cheddar, and tomato salsa. Wash it down with a watermelon smoothie.
In other food truck news, Chowda Heads is now on the road, serving up chowder (obviously), bacon-wrapped ears of corn, and more. Keep an eye on the truck's Twitter feed for locations and times; so far, it has made stops in Salem and Malden.
UPDATE: Gogi launches on Wednesday, June 3 with a shift in Framingham (33 New York Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
