HARVARD SQUARE — This Thursday, June 18, New York-based Mu Ramen will pop up at Alden & Harlow from 10 p.m. on, while supplies last. SPRING HILL — On Friday, June 19, Somerville coffee shop 3 Little Figs will host a rare evening event beginning at 6 p.m., offering ice cream sandwiches and affogato while supplies last. The ice cream is from the cafe's in-house brand, GoodFat, and it'll be available in vanilla and toasted coconut for sandwich purposes and hazelnut chocolate chip for affogato. [Press Release]
SEAPORT DISTRICT — Also on Friday, Chefs in Shorts, an outdoor barbecue extravaganza/fundraiser, returns for its 18th year. It's at the Seaport Boston Hotel & World Trade Center from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and around 50 chefs will be on hand (probably in shorts) cooking up plenty of food. ALLSTON — "Eat Like Shit" at Roxy's Grilled Cheese on June 23 when the restaurant teams up with "Vulgar Chef" Kyle Marcoux for an event benefiting the Greater Boston Food Bank. Because the event is being organized by new hospitality brand Pineapple Crossing, expect pineapples to show up in several drinks and dishes (hello, pineapple poutine).
