Back Bay is down a seafood restaurant: McCormick & Schmick's, located at the Park Plaza Hotel, has closed its doors, Boston Restaurant Talk reported yesterday.
The chain has more than 80 locations around North America, with the Park Plaza McCormick & Schmick's opening more than 10 years ago, according to a hotel employee. BRT surmises the seafood-and-steak place faced more competition recently, as Strip by Strega and Off the Common have opened amid a $95 million hotel renovation.
Elsewhere in Boston, the McCormick & Schmick's at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace remains in operation. There is also a location in Providence, R.I.
