The Envoy Hotel opened in the Seaport District at 70 Sleeper St. over the weekend, and yesterday was the first evening of service for the eighth-story Lookout Rooftop Bar, a hotel employee confirmed. The Outlook, a kitchen and bar located on the hotel's ground floor, isn't coming until fall.

The Lookout will open nightly from 5 p.m. - midnight, and in addition to skyline and harbor views, it will offer small bites and cocktails. Snacks include shrimp cocktail, a hummus platter, spinach dip with kettle chips, and a house recipe for spicy nuts.

When The Outlook opens this fall, The Lookout's menu will expand, as well, the employee said. David Verdo, formerly executive chef at Chopps in Burlington, is executive chef for both The Lookout and The Outlook.
