Legendary New Haven pizzeria Frank Pepe is opening its first Massachusetts location this fall in Chestnut Hill, and more could follow. Eater.com interviewed one of Pepe's grandchildren, Gary Bimonte, about his four decades with the family-owned company and what's coming next, and he revealed that a large expansion is in the works. The family hopes to open 20-30 stores in the Northeast at a rate of approximately one every 18 months, and there could be up to five in the Boston area eventually. They try to stay fairly close to universities, Bimonte said.
