Today marks another day on the calendar of Boston's Year of Juice: Liquiteria opened its Harvard Square location this morning.

Founded in 1996 in East Village, Liquiteria has five locations around New York City and claims to be a pioneer of the cold-press juice biz. The shop at 1440 Mass. Ave. is the company's first outside of New York. Liquiteria stores are "a healthy oasis," the company says, with "cleanse coaches" and "ambassadors" on hand to answer questions about the products and lifestyle they sell. There are four cleanse packages, ranging from beginners' options offering balance and/or alkaline, and more aggressive cleanses for serious juiceheads.

In addition to a rainbow of fresh juices and smoothies, Liquiteria's in-house menu includes herbal supplements, gluten-free bakery items, acai bowls, salads, and other grab-and-go options. Liquiteria is open daily, from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
