At Comedor in Newton, the new brunch menu is "dim sum-style," according to co-owner Fernanda White. "Large trays with freshly made food pass through the dining room," she says. "People get to pick what they want off the trays, really casual and fun." It will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Sunday.

The debut offerings:

  • Fried chicken bagel — Pimento cheese, pickles ($9)
  • Smores French toast — Chocolate ganache, toasted merengue ($8)
  • Steak salad — Avocado, farm greens, crispy navy beans ($9)
  • Artichoke fritters — Ricotta, basil, lemon ($7)
  • Tostadas con jamon — Honey butter, maple syrup ($6)
  • Bowl of sopaipillas — Spicy pebre ($5)
  • Asparagus frittata — Portobello, cream cheese ($4)
  • Breakfast empanadas — Nectarines, cheddar cheese ($7)
  • Chaparritas — Chorizo, fontina, salsa verde ($9)
  • Crab Johnnycakes — Chili cheese butter, spike honey ($11)
  • Fruit salpicon — Basil, whipped cream, almond ($4)
And in Fort Point, Bastille Kitchen is debuting a brunch menu ranging from cinnamon-and-sugar mini croissants with citrus-lavender glaze to a duck confit omelet with truffle marrow butter. Brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday. Take a look at the menu here.
