A new bubble tea shop is getting settled near the Quincy Center Red Line station. Eighty Six Degrees Tea softly opened yesterday, and is open from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. tonight, according to its Facebook page.

The space at 1259B Hancock St. previously housed takeout spot MidEast Kitchen, and for a brief time, it was a different bubble tea shop, a city of Quincy licensing office employee said. She added Eighty Six Degrees Bubble Tea was first granted a license in 2012.

Redesigned by local firm Dyer Brown, the new shop features purple walls, graffiti-inspired art, and dark wood accents. The menu includes bubble milk tea in many flavors with a variety of add-ins, plus other teas and espresso drinks. It also offers Chinese crepes.

Eighty Six Degrees Tea's hours vary this week, but it will likely post to its active Facebook page when it opens for good.
