Osteria Nino will open to the public this Thursday, May 7, at 19 Third Ave. in Burlington; a few successful family & friends nights have already been held, according to the new restaurant's Facebook page. Osteria Nino is "inspired by the kitchens of Rome," and the team includes alums of Scampo, Tuscan Kitchen, and Chez Panisse.
The Lyons Group, which is behind numerous local establishments, including Back Bay Social Club and Towne Stove & Spirits, is also behind Osteria Nino, which went through a few name changes before opening. It'll seat 240, and it won't be "your typical red sauce Italian restaurant."
The menu is organized by plate size — small, medium, large, extra large — plus snacks, pizzas, sides, and Roman-inspired daily specials, like Friday baccala and Sunday sugo della domenica.
