Kathmandu Spice Has Closed in Arlington

Boston Restaurant Talk notes that Kathmandu Spice has officially shuttered in Arlington. "Thank you for your support and patronage for the last 10 years," the Himalayan fusion restaurant's website says. "Our heartfelt thanks to the Arlington community and our neighbors. The business is now closed."

In March, Arlington's selectboard granted new licenses for Zhu's Garden to open in the space at 166 Mass. Ave., under management of Bowei Zhu. BRT says the forthcoming restaurant will serve pan-Asian vegan cuisine. Other details about Zhu's Garden, including an opening timeline, are sparse, though Chowhound posters and members of Boston's vegan community on Facebook have reported that signage went up earlier this week.
