El Potro Mexican Grill is opening a third location, this one in Malden, according to Kevin Duffy, a business development officer for the city. It will be the restaurant's biggest space, he notes. The first El Potro opened in Somerville's Union Square in 2006, followed by a Lowell location in 2013, and both offer a large menu of Mexican food, from enchiladas and fajitas to seafood entrees and more.

The new Malden location will be at 160 Highland Ave., according to the agenda for a hearing of the sign design review committee that took place yesterday. No word yet on an opening timeline.
