1) QUINCY — The Townshend opened in Quincy on Friday, May 15, as the team had planned. The menu isn't posted online yet (nor are its hours), but a Boston Herald reviewer "loved" the "velvety" Giannone chicken. Yelpers report trying small plates, like beets and ricotta; asparagus and bacon; and burrata with toast and honey. Reviewers also applaud the cocktail program, which the Herald calls "exquisite." Status: Certified open. 1250 Hancock St., Quincy. (617) 481-9694.
2) WINTHROP — Adriana's Pastry & Cafe became a welcome addition to the Winthrop coffee scene when it opened earlier this month. Cold-brewed iced coffee, a full array of espresso drinks, pastries like macarons, lobster tails, and tiramisu; and pizzas are served alongside a view of Boston Harbor. There's also free wifi and a fireplace inside. It's open daily from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Status: Certified open. 49 Main St., Winthrop. (617) 846-0473.
