A husband and wife behind a popular Brookline restaurant are poised to open their newest concept, a fine-dining gastropub at the historic, former Sherborn Inn, this summer. Heritage of Sherborn will open in June, a press release announced.

The venue has an adjacent wine and provisions shop, which opened on April 30. Four, full-service guest rooms and wedding and event space will come when renovations are complete.

Josh and Jennifer Ziskin are at the helm of the Heritage of Sherborn project. They purchased the 1700s-era Sherborn Inn at 33 N. Main St. in Sherborn earlier this year. The duo currently runs La Morra, an Italian restaurant in Brookline, as previously reported.

Heritage of Sherborn will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with brunch available on weekends. Chef Josh Ziskin's farm-to-table menu will include internationally-inspired dishes, like chimichurri-marinated, grilled calamari with crispy yucca con mojo; a bacon board; and albacore tuna Nicoise salad with citrus shallot vinaigrette. Jennifer Ziskin, a certified Italian wine specialist, previously said she plans to bring more than 100 new bottles to the restaurant.

Heritage of Sherborn's shop, open weekdays from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. (8 p.m. on Fridays) and weekends 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. (8 p.m. on Saturdays), offers take-out options of some of chef Ziskin's food, as well as coffee and wines by the bottle.
