The Brookline TAB has some more details about the forthcoming concept from the restaurant group behind jm Curley and Merrill & Co.: Sunny Boy will open in Washington Square later this month or early in June.
"We really want to be ingrained in the neighborhood," Andrew Cartin told the publication. The BiNA Hospitality Group co-owner recently moved to Washington Square himself with his wife and her children, he added. The restaurateur noticed the vacant space at 1632 Beacon St., formerly Cafe Nicholas "and [we] just figured out what was needed in the neighborhood by talking to the neighbors," he said.
That is everything from breakfast to family-style dining to late-night fun. Sunny Boy will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner; plus grab-and-go options for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The restaurant will have a full liquor license and will also have a menu of milkshakes. It'll be open 7 a.m. to midnight from Sunday through Wednesday, with hours extending to 2 a.m. on Thursday through Saturday nights.
