Baseball's Back in Boston at Bergamot; Celebrate Khmer New Year at Elephant Walk

SOMERVILLE — Celebrate Opening Day at Fenway by watching great moments in World Series history on the "jumbotron" at Bergamot. The Somerville bistro will have hot dogs, cracker jacks, and beer, plus baseball-themed cocktails, and maybe even a bottle of Vintage Papi uncorked. SOUTH END — Cambodian New Year happens on Monday, April 13, and in honor of the end of farming season in that country, the Elephant Walk is hosting a celebration of its roots from Monday - Wednesday, April 15. Enjoy the fruits of the restaurant's labor with traditional New Year specials from chef/owner Nadsa de Montiero, including N’Sahm Chrouk, a gluten-free dish of pork belly, mung beans, and coconut sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf and steamed; and N’Sahm Chaek, made with sweet banana and coconut sticky rice, wrapped in a banana leaf and served warm with coconut and toasted sesame seeds. BACK BAY — The Colonnade Hotel hosts this year's Boston Rising Stars, an honor bestowed most recently in 2009 from, at an awards ceremony and tasting gala on Thursday, April 16. Honored attendees this year include chefs Patrick Campbell of Cafe ArtScience and Cara Chigazola Tobin of Oleana, bartender Ezra Star of Drink, and many more.
