Colorado-based burger chain Smashburger, which has Greater Boston locations in Natick and Westwood (the latter is brand new), will expand to Medford in October, reports Boston Restaurant Talk, citing a job posting on Craigslist. It will be located at the Fellsway Plaza on Route 28.
The Denver chain has been around for close to a decade, advocating that smashing patties on the grill helps keep them juicy. (Stay tuned for Eater's Burger Week 2015, taking place next week, when plenty of local chefs will share their thoughts on what makes a perfect burger. Is smashing the answer?)
In addition to burgers and chicken sandwiches, Smashburger also offers salads, milkshakes, and a few other items.
