The Whisk team, which has been popping up around the Boston area for a couple years now, including a long-term project at Wink & Nod, has been planning something a little more permanent in recent months. Now, a flurry of new social media activity suggests that chefs Philip Kruta and Jeremy Kean are putting down roots at Fazenda Coffee Roasters in Jamaica Plain, renovating the cafe (including new art) and also hosting monthly "supper club"-style pop-ups there while everything is in the works.
"Fazenda is the new cafe by the Whisk popup guys," according to a new Twitter account. "We make everything from scratch, our coffee is roasted local. We know our farmers and we love what we do." According to the event page for an upcoming instance of the supper club ("a monthly multicourse craft tasting menu"), the eventual permanent space will be called Brassica.
