Trattoria Toscana, an Italian restaurant in the Fenway neighborhood, has apparently closed, reports Boston Restaurant Talk, citing several sources and the fact that the restaurant's online presence has disappeared and its phone has been disconnected.
Located at 130 Jersey St., the tiny spot served a variety of Italian classics, including pasta, seafood, and more.
On Chowhound, local restaurant critic MC Slim JB notes that Toscana's original chef/owner is out at Firenze Trattoria in Salem these days, serving "a practically identical menu." He left Toscana at some point in 2012.
UPDATE, 4/29/15: The restaurant is "closed for a bit to complete major renovations," according to a sign posted on the door. "It may take a while," the sign continues, "but please check back soon!"
