The owners of Bon Me are planning to add more specialty items to the menu at their third brick-and-mortar location, coming soon to North Cambridge. Boston Magazine reports the Fresh Pond shop could open as early as August, with a deluxe version of the chain's pork ramen, as well as fried chicken, on its expanded menu.
Co-owner Patrick Lynch, who launched Bon Me in food truck form with his wife, Ali Fong, in 2011, was approved earlier this month for a license to operate in the former Cheddar's Pizzeria space at 201 Alewife Brook Parkway. The company already has permanent outposts in Kendall Square and Fort Point. While the Cambridge Licensing Commission granted permission to operate the Fresh Pond location daily until midnight, Bon Me clarified on Twitter that they don't plan to keep the shop open that late. BoMag notes, however, the company is considering keeping it open until 8 p.m.
