Bottega Fiorentina Expansion Will Bring So Much Pasta to Newton This Summer

The Coolidge Corner restaurant and Italian specialty shop serves pasta, sandwiches, and more.

Bottega Fiorentina 2Bottega Fiorentina, a counter-service restaurant and specialty Italian grocery store in Coolidge Corner, is expanding to Newton Centre this summer, Boston Restaurant Talk reports. Owner Andrea Ferrini confirmed the news via Twitter, writing that the new shop, a franchise, would offer the same "fine fast food" and would be located next to Panera (which is at 1241 Centre St.) It seems that additional franchises could open in the future, as a note at the bottom of the restaurant's website invites interested parties to send an email.

The menu includes a variety of pastas that can be paired with 13 always-available sauces and a rotating roster of 16 others that show up on various days of the week. Also available: sandwiches and antipasto plates.

Bottega Fiorentina used to have an outpost on Newbury Street in Back Bay as well, but it closed about three years ago.
