Today, the Chicken and Rice Guys celebrate the grand opening of the brand's first brick-and-mortar store at 85 Bedford Street downtown. The event started at 11 a.m. and every purchase comes with a Willy Wonka-style chance to win a plate of chicken and rice every day for the rest of human eternity. You could also win a T-shirt.
The Chicken and Rice Guys also offered coupons for a free small snack, but by 10:30 a.m., all 85 had already been claimed. With more than 1,600 people expressing interest in today's event on Facebook, you should probably get in line now if you want a chance at winning the grand prize, or if you want lunch from there today at all. The new shop is open until 3 p.m. (Of course, the Guys' trucks are still on the road. There are several locations to get lunch or dinner today, that don't require waiting in line with potentially 1,600 other fans.)
