AROUND THE HUB — Everyone loves a good listicle. A few local roundups — and one national piece with a well-known local name — have recently popped up. First, back in March, Thrillist named chef and restaurateur Barbara Lynch (No. 9 Park, B&G Oysters, Butcher Shop, Drink, Sportello, Menton) one of America's best chefs who also happens to be female. Booze blog Punch shared its take on the best Boston beer bars, including Allston standbys Deep Ellum and Sunset Grill & Tap, and The Publick House in Brookline. And USA Today's travel and lifestyle site 10 Best rounded up (you guessed it) 10 of the best Boston bakeries. Sofra, Bova's Bakery, and newbie Forge Baking Company all made the list.
AROUND THE HUB — In celebration of the release of the new cookbook from America's Test Kitchen, The Best Mexican Recipes, The Feed published a series of features on Boston-area Mexican cuisine chefs. Max Toste of Lone Star Taco Bar, La Brasa chef Daniel Bojorquez, Edwin Ramos of Ole and its ninos, and the Everett factory La Nina Tortilleria are all featured.
FENWAY — The Boston Globe published a timely feature last week about a new green monster at Fenway this season: A rooftop garden. Fenway Farms, as it's called, will provide herbs, greens, and other vegetables for the EMC Club inside Fenway Park starting May 1. [BG]
