An Italian restaurant that has been in the works since last summer looks to be on its way this spring. Boston Restaurant Talk picked up a tweet from @FortPointer, who welcomed Buco Trattoria to Twitter last week.
Welcome to Twitter @trattoriabuco! Looking forward to your highly-anticipated May opening at 300 Summer St!

The restaurant is moving into 300 Summer St., a subterranean location that housed Channel Cafe until it closed about two years ago. Buco Trattoria is a new project from Bledar Hoxhallari, who is behind Basta Pasta in Cambridge and Basta Pasta Enoteca in Quincy. Both Basta Pasta locations offer "authentic, homemade Italian cuisine," including pasta, risotto, entrees, salads, panini, and pizza. According to Buco Trattoria's fledgling Twitter profile, the small Fort Point establishment will serve homemade food, too.
A bare bones Facebook page and website show Buco Trattoria was hoping to open in April, but @FortPointer is looking forward to the eatery opening in May.
