Hopsters, a Newton brewpub that allows guests to brew their own beer, has "big things ... coming to downtown Boston," according to the caption of a construction photo posted on Facebook last week, first noticed by Boston Restaurant Talk.
Hopsters opened about a year and a half ago. In addition to helping the public brew, it offers three flagship beers of its own, craft beverages from other producers, and a menu of charcuterie, salads, and flatbreads.
In the fall, Hopsters head brewer Jeff Rowe told BostInno, "There is the potential of opening up a second location with a bigger brew house and more brew kettles for our customers." Boston Restaurant Talk noted that some Hopsters expansion plans fell through at the end of last year or the beginning of this year.
Besides the construction photo, nothing else has been said about these "big things." Questions will be answered in time, the Hopsters team wrote on Facebook.
