Row 34's upcoming northern expansion is moving right along with open interviews and oyster training, heading towards an early summer opening at Portwalk Place in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Co-owners Garrett Harker, Skip Bennett, Jeremy Sewall, and Shore Gregory have just announced one of their first key hires: Molly Woodhouse as general manager.
A Texas native who also spent time in Missouri, St. Thomas, and St. John before reaching New England, Woodhouse worked in the Barbara Lynch Gruppo in Boston, starting at Menton before becoming general manager at The Butcher Shop. Most recently, she was farther north at Robert's Maine Grill in Kittery and then Vida Cantina in Portsmouth. She was an opening partner and general manager of the latter.
Woodhouse also has a serious background in wine, having passed the introductory level Court of Master Sommeliers and spending a few years working as a wine rep.
