The team behind Tres Gatos and the newly revamped Centre Street Cafe is opening a third Jamaica Plain restaurant — and it will join the other two on Centre Street. It won't be in the former Centre Street Sanctuary space at 365 Sanctuary St.; rather, it's headed for 711 Centre St., currently Ghazal Indian Cuisine.
The new restaurant will be "a casual, family-friendly Mexican eatery; tacqueria, cevicheria, and cervezeria is a concise description of the concept so far," the team announced in a statement today, noting that they hoped to "continue to add value to the JP community, expand relationships with local vendors, and create growth opportunities for their team members."
Tres Gatos serves Spanish tapas and wine, and it also includes a book and record store. Centre Street Cafe, meanwhile, focuses on house-made pastas and other Italian-inspired foods.
UPDATE: It will be called Casa Verde.
