SPRING HILL — This Thursday, April 16, head to the Armory in Somerville for YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City, an event benefiting The Welcome Project, which provides education and advocacy within Somerville's immigrant communities. The event features tastings from 13 local restaurants, including Fasika, La Brasa, The Neighborhood, and Rincon Mexicano. Plus, there will be live music and a silent auction. Tickets start at $35. THEATRE DISTRICT — The second annual Farm to Glass Mixology Throwdown takes place at the W Hotel on Saturday, April 18, benefiting the Copley Square farmers market. Seven local bartenders (Jared Sadoian of The Kirkland Tap & Trotter, Will Isaza of Fairsted Kitchen, Peter Polselli of La Brasa, and more) will compete to create cocktails using "local farm fresh ingredients."
