The flagship location of Jerry Remy's in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston was closed for more than a month, but will reopen today at 11 a.m., Boston Restaurant Talk reports. With sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees in today's forecast, the restaurant's famed roof deck that overlooks Fenway Park will likely be open, too.
The restaurant and bar closed unexpectedly in early March. At the end of that month,The Boston Herald reported the Cronin Group, a longtime investor in the franchise and proprietor of the Jerry Remy's Seaport location and other establishments, had entered a licensing agreement with the brand to reopen it in Fenway. In the past month, the restaurant group made "a few tweaks, [and] a few renovations" to the Boylston Street business, including updating the menu to a more streamlined list of starters, sandwiches, salads, burgers, hot dogs, and entrees. A half-pound, all-beef hot dog served with chili, onions, cheese, named the Rem Dawg after the restaurant's namesake, former Red Sox infielder and current team broadcaster Jerry Remy, is still available.
