"Picking up keys to the new office," wrote Alden & Harlow's Michael Scelfo on Instagram, sharing a photo of the space that will become Naco. "Harbinger of spring? Tacos." Naco will be located in the former Lotte Market in Cambridge's Central Square (297 Massachusetts Ave.) The Speakeasy Group's Alex Tannenbaum and Brian Lesser are also involved in the project.
As Scelfo previously told Eater, Naco will feature a giant patio, and there will be a mix of quick-service and table-service options. "It's definitely not a traditional vibe in terms of a taqueria, but it’s definitely going to have nods to what you’d expect flavor profile-wise, just a different ingredient set," he said at the time. "We’re going to build a bar, we’ve got a unique kitchen concept coming to it, and we’re just going to play some good music, not mess with it too much, and just have some fun doing some good casual food."
