The flagship location of Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill at 1265 Boylston St. is permanently closed, Boston Restaurant Talk reports via "a reliable source." Phone calls to the establishment are unanswered.
The pub, named after the current NESN broadcaster and a former Red Sox player, opened in 2010, with locations at Logan Airport, in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston, and in Fall River shortly after. Those locations remain open, the blog reports.
Like all Jerry Remy's restaurants, the Fenway location featured many televisions inside, including two 6.5 x 11-foot screens behind the bar, called "screen monsters," and it pitched itself as the place to watch any and all sports action. Jerry Remy's Fenway also had a large, outdoor patio overlooking Fenway Park.
