Kennedy's on the Square, which opened in late September 2014 in the short-lived First Printer space on Dunster Street, has closed, according to a former employee. A sibling to Kennedy's Public House in Norwood, the Cambridge Kennedy's offered comfort food dishes like a smoked meatball sub, a lobster roll, mac and cheese, and the like. The closure comes abruptly; the latest social media update was a Twitter post from just a few days ago, bidding customers to come in for March Madness, and the restaurant's voicemail message doesn't mention the closure. OpenTable reservations are still active.
Before Kennedy's, First Printer opened in late January 2012, bestowing gator meat and a Brother Cleve cocktail list upon Harvard Square in the old Herrell's Ice Cream space.
