A job post popped up on Craigslist this morning seeking all positions to support the opening of the flagship PAUL, a 125-year-old French bakery chain. The first Boston-area outpost opened in Assembly Row in November, and another one opened at the Natick Mall shortly thereafter. As previously reported, the company plans to open a bakers' dozen or so more in the region by 2016.
The forthcoming location will take up 6,000 square feet inside One Boston Place at 201 Washington St. in Downtown Crossing.
PAUL opened as a family-run bakery in 1889; the fifth generation of that family now operates more than 600 outlets worldwide. Specializing in homemade breads, PAUL also offers pastries, sandwiches, coffee, and more. The company is aiming for an early spring opening in Downtown Crossing.
