A contractor is looking to build a new, mixed-use building at 450 Amory St. that would include a second-story restaurant tentatively called Havana Pete's, reports Jamaica Plain News.
Chris DeSisto, the man behind Bartlett Square Properties LLC., is going before the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council Public Service Committee tomorrow night seeking a common victualer license and an all-alcohol license for 11 a.m. to midnight. The company also desires an entertainment license to play recorded music and televisions, JP News reports.
The proposed restaurant, located across Amory Street from the Green Street T station, would have a 32-seat outdoor patio and would share the building with 15 apartments, the article says. DeSisto is behind a similar venture just across Green Street from the proposed development, a building that houses condos and Cafe Bartlett Square.
While plans for Havana Pete's are still developing, DeSisto told JP News "it would likely be a casual place for cold beer and fresh seafood."
